(Adnkronos) – Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen has called a meeting with party leaders for this evening to discuss US President-elect Donald Trump’s statements about Greenland. This was announced by Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen, stating in a meeting with journalists that “the meeting of party leaders gives us the opportunity to share the measures taken by the government in recent days.”
“It is positive that there is growing American interest in what is happening in the North Atlantic and the Arctic area. But this must be done in a way that is respectful of the people of Greenland,” said Frederiksen in an interview with broadcaster Tv2 yesterday.
