(Adnkronos) – The death toll from the 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck Tibet at 9:05 local time has risen to 106 dead and 174 injured, with an epicenter recorded at a depth of 10 kilometers and numerous aftershocks also felt in Kathmandu. This was reported by the China News agency, explaining that about 3,000 homes were damaged. The epicenter, located in Tingri County on the Tibetan Plateau, is near the border with Nepal.
