(Adnkronos) – A South Korean court has granted an extension of the detention warrant for impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, who was impeached following an attempt to impose martial law in the country. The Seoul Western District Court granted the extension requested by investigators from the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO) after the initial warrant expired yesterday. The attempt to execute the warrant last Friday failed due to the intervention of presidential security personnel deployed at the building of Yoon’s official residence in central Seoul.
