(Adnkronos) – Qatar Airways has announced that air connections with Damascus will resume from Tuesday, January 7, with a frequency of three flights a week. The Doha-based airline explains that the decision follows the desire to increase connections between the countries of the region and to respond to passenger requests. Qatar Airways added that it is working with the Syrian authorities to ensure safety conditions are in place.
“We are pleased to resume flights to Damascus, a destination of great historical and cultural importance. This announcement underlines our commitment to promoting connectivity and facilitating travel for our passengers,” said Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer.
