(Adnkronos) – China responds by calling unfounded the accusations of the US Treasury according to which a Chinese cyber attack would have allowed to circumvent its security measures and led to the theft of documents. “We have repeatedly expressed our position on such unfounded accusations, which lack any evidence,” said Mao Ning, a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, during a press conference in Beijing.
Yesterday, the Treasury Department, in a letter to the House of Representatives, reported that it had been the victim of a cyber attack in early December. According to the letter, the attack was carried out, “according to the indications available, by an actor financially supported by China.”
