Georgia, 16th consecutive day of protests on the eve of the contested vote for President

(Adnkronos) – New protest demonstrations against the government this evening in Tbilisi and in a dozen other locations in Georgia for the 16th consecutive day, since the announcement of the suspension of negotiations for EU membership by the Prime Minister, and on the eve of the indirect vote for the election of the President, a vote that the incumbent pro-European President, Salome Zurabishvili, contests as invalid.
