(Adnkronos) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is out of intensive care, but still hospitalized. This was announced by doctors at the Syrian-Lebanese hospital in Sao Paulo, where Lula underwent two surgeries in recent days to stop a brain hemorrhage.

The 79-year-old president “remains at the Sirio-Libanes Hospital in Sao Paulo, in semi-intensive care,” doctors said in a public bulletin. Lula is in the same room, but now with monitoring at regular intervals, instead of 24/7 as before, a presidency official said.
