(Adnkronos) – Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva underwent another surgery today, which ended ”successfully”, to reduce the risk of further intracranial haemorrhage. His doctor, Roberto Kalil, announced this to reporters, explaining that ”the surgery was successful” at the Syrian-Lebanese Hospital in Sao Paulo.
”The president is awake and alert,” he added. On Tuesday, Lula underwent surgery to drain a brain haematoma resulting from a fall at his home on 19 October.
