(Adnkronos) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has asked the Bundestag for a vote of confidence in order to call early parliamentary elections on February 23rd. The motion – the German press agency Dpa learned from government sources – was presented today to the President of the Bundestag Baerbel Bas, as expected. The vote on the text is scheduled for the 16th.
