(Adnkronos) – The former head of the Salvation Government in Idlib, what was the rebel stronghold, Mohammed al-Bashir, will be the new prime minister of the government that will manage the transition in Syria. Al-Jazeera reported this the day after the capture of Damascus by the armed factions from Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad’s regime. Al-Bashir, the broadcaster specifies, will be given the task of forming a new government.
Born in Idlib province in 1983, the future prime minister obtained a degree in electronic engineering from the University of Aleppo (2007) and a degree in Islamic Law from the University of Idlib (2021) before leading the Salvation Government in 2022.
