(Adnkronos) – During the debate on the no-confidence motion against the government of French Prime Minister Michel Barnier, the first motion to be voted on tomorrow at the National Assembly will be the one with the highest number of signatories, therefore the one presented by the New Popular Front.
In concrete terms, the two motions will be debated simultaneously: the promoter of the motion with the highest number of signatures will speak first to present the “accusation” against the government. It should be the ‘Insoumis’ deputy Eric Coquerel, chairman of the Finance Committee, explains Le Monde. This will be followed by the presentation of the second “accuser”, who will illustrate the motivations of the Rassemblement National motion.
Michel Barnier will then speak to “defend himself”, without time limits. Finally, the other nine groups will take the floor to explain their choice. At the end there will be a vote on the first motion, Nfp, then on the second, only if the first has not obtained the number of votes needed for approval.
