(Adnkronos) – Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze assures that the country continues to aim for EU membership but rules out talks with the opposition following the announcement of the decision to suspend negotiations with the EU for accession until the end of 2028. “I want to assure everyone that European integration – expected in 2030, ed – has not been postponed but will be pursued with the utmost effort”, Kobakhidze said at a press conference after four days of protests in the square. With the opposition, he added, “there will be no negotiation”.
