Romanian presidential elections, Constitutional Court orders recount of first round votes

(Adnkronos) – Romania’s Constitutional Court has ordered a recount of the votes cast in the first round of the presidential election, following the ‘shock’ victory of far-right candidate Calin Georgescu. 

The court ordered “to re-check and recount all the ballots cast in the November 24 elections for the office of President of Romania”, a statement read.
