(Adnkronos) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed the start of serial production of the new ‘Oreshkin’ ballistic missile, which Russian forces used for the first time last week in a test launch against an industrial plant in Dmipro. Putin also said that a massive raid with this system (armed with conventional warheads, ed) is equivalent in terms of effects to the launch of a nuclear bomb. In his speech at the CSTO summit in Kazakhstan, Putin explained that Russia continues to strengthen its capabilities to deal with threats. Moscow knows, he added, how many long-range missiles Kiev has received and how many will arrive as well as where they are located.
