(Adnkronos) – Russian attacks against Ukraine have killed at least two civilians and injured at least 17 others in the past day, regional authorities have reported. According to the Air Force, Russia attacked Ukraine overnight with 89 Shahed-type drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles.
Thirty-six were shot down by Kyiv’s air defenses while 48 were lost. Five drones reportedly flew into Belarus, Russia and occupied territories. Some drones hit Kyiv overnight. Two people – reported the city’s military administration – were injured by debris from a drone that fell on a building.
Russian attacks on the Sumy region killed two people and injured another, the regional military administration said. The two victims were reported after a Russian missile hit a residential building and a kindergarten in the city of Sumy. A civilian was also injured during Russian attacks on the community of Velyka Pysarivka near the Russian border, officials said.
