(Adnkronos) – The agreement for a ceasefire in Lebanon is ”good news”, ”an Italian success” for ”the contribution to peace given by Italy with the G7 presidency”. And ”as we worked for the ceasefire in Lebanon, so we will continue to do for the Gaza Strip”. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said this while meeting journalists on the sidelines of the Med Dialogues organized by the Farnesina and ISPI and underway in Rome.
”I believe that the ceasefire in Lebanon can contribute to starting a path to reach a ceasefire in Gaza in a not too long time,” Tajani added. ”We are working for peace, for a just peace” and in the meantime ”we continue to send material to support the civilian population, we stand by the Palestinian people and in favor of a two-state solution”.
