Mo: Israel spreads evacuation order for central Beirut, targeting Hezbollah banks

(Adnkronos) – For the first time, the Israeli armed forces have issued an evacuation order for the center of Beirut, and not for the southern neighborhoods that are a Hezbollah stronghold. Colonel Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language spokesman, published maps of several buildings in central Beirut that were targeted. It had previously been warned that numerous branches of Al Qaed al Hasan, an association known to be used as a kind of bank by Hezbollah, would be targeted throughout Lebanon.
