(Adnkronos) – The Ukrainian army still controls 800 square kilometers of the Russian border region of Kursk. This was underlined by a source in the Kiev army to Afp, indicating a reduction compared to a previous claim of almost 1,400 square kilometers.
“The maximum amount of territory we controlled in the Kursk region was 1,376 square kilometers. Now it’s about 800 square kilometers,” the source said, adding that Ukraine will remain in the region, the scene of a raid last summer, “as long as it is appropriate.”
