(Adnkronos) – As widely announced, Donald Trump has appointed Elon Musk as head of the Government Efficiency Department, an external position to the administration through which the CEO of X will have to advise the president-elect on how to reduce bureaucracy spending. Former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy will work with Musk.
For the Pentagon, Trump has chosen a Fox anchorman, the right-wing television megaphone of the tycoon, Pete Hegseth, while to lead the CIA he would have chosen Texas congressman John Ratcliffe, former director of National Intelligence.
On Truth Social, Trump also confirmed the appointment of South Dakota Governor and former congresswoman Kristi Noem as Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security. “Kristi,” Trump wrote, “has been very strong on border security. She was the first governor to send National Guard troops to help Texas fight the Biden border crisis, and they were deployed a total of eight times. She will work closely with ‘border czar’ Tom Homan to secure the border and ensure that our American homeland is safe from our adversaries. I have known her for years, I have worked with her on a wide variety of projects, she will have an important part in our mission to make America Safe Again.”
