Usa, Trump to pick woman who shot her dog as Homeland Security Secretary

(Adnkronos) – She bragged about killing her 14-month-old puppy because it was ”restless.” And now, two well-informed sources have told CNN, President-elect Donald Trump will pick her as his administration’s Homeland Security Secretary. It is Kristi Noem, the governor of South Dakota who has earned a dubious reputation, with which Trump would win a loyalist to lead an agency that oversees everything from US Customs and Border Protection to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the US Secret Service.

Noem was also among Trump’s shortlist for vice president, but it was her revelations about killing her hunting dog, Cricket, after deeming him unfit to hunt that cost her the job. An ”impossible to train” dog, Noem wrote in her book, ‘No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward’.
