(Adnkronos) – The Spd and Cdu/Csu parliamentary group leaders have reportedly agreed on the date of February 23 for early elections in Germany. Der Spiegel writes, citing Spd sources. According to the report, Chancellor Olaf Scholz will face a vote of confidence in the Bundestag on 16 December. The final decision on the date of the elections rests with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
