(Adnkronos) – “Everything must be done to build peace”, including a possible Trump-Putin phone call. “It is a positive fact. I am in favor of launching a peace conference involving all those who participated in Switzerland, in addition to Russia, China, Brazil and India”. This was stated at the Farnesina by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, adding that “it is necessary to ensure that there can truly be a path that leads to the end of a war that has caused tens, I would say hundreds, of thousands of deaths”.
“We defend Ukraine to achieve peace, not to continue the war – concluded Tajani – Defending Ukraine means defending international law to achieve a just peace, that is, a peace that guarantees the freedom and independence of the country that has been attacked by Russia”.
