(Adnkronos) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has confirmed the next steps in the program announced for the coming months of government following the implosion of the three-party coalition. The chancellor himself said so this morning, assuring that the government will continue to carry out its work in the coming weeks and months: “Citizens will soon have the opportunity to decide again how to proceed. It is their right. For this reason, I will ask for a vote of confidence in the Bundestag at the beginning of next year”, he said, reiterating his intention to wait until January to raise the question of confidence, despite requests from the Union (CDU/CSU) to bring the move forward to next week. A similar request came from Sahra Wagenknecht, leader of the BSW.
