(Adnkronos) – ‘Make Israel Great’. This is the writing on huge posters that appeared this morning on some buildings in Jerusalem in support of US President-elect Donald Trump, referring to his campaign slogan, ‘Make America Great Again’. Images expressing ”congratulations” to Trump that join the messages sent by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and many members of the Israeli government.
Trump has promised to support Israel in its fight against Iranian-backed groups, including Hamas and Hezbollah. Even Democratic President Joe Biden has supported Israel with arms supplies after the October 7 attacks, but has often clashed with Netanyahu over the Middle East crisis.
