Turkey removes three mayors in the Kurdish southeast for ‘terrorism’

(Adnkronos) – The Ankara authorities have removed three mayors from the Kurdish-majority southeast of Turkey, accusing them of ”terrorism”. This was announced by the Turkish Interior Ministry, explaining that the three have been replaced by trustee administrators. The three exponents of the Dem party were mayors of Mardin, Batman and Halfeti.
