(Adnkronos) – There are no Italians among those known to have died in the flash flooding in southeastern Spain in recent days when over a year’s worth of rain fell in hours, knocking down bridges and dragging vehicles through the streets.
“#Spain| Min. @Antonio_Tajani is tracking the situation in #Valencia with the utmost attention following the floods,” the foreign ministry wrote Wednesday on X (formerly Twitter).
“At the moment there are no Italian citizens among the victims,” the tweet stated.
The tweet gave the foreign ministry’s Crisis Unit phone number and advised Italians to download its ‘Viaggiare Sicuri’ (Safe Travel) app.
