(Adnkronos) – Investment in healthcare infrastructure in Africa and better access and distribution of disease prevention tools are needed, Italy’s foreign minister Antonio Tajani wrote Thursday on X from a G7 development ministers meeting.
#G7Italia2024 | Today I chaired a session on global health with @gav and @WHO to debate with leading healthcare companies,” Tajani tweeted.
“We agreed on the need for investment in healthcare infrastructure and improved access and distribution of prevention tools in #Africa,” the tweet added.
Tajani referenced a session of the three-day G7 development ministers meeting taking place in Pescara, which was attended by representatives from public-private global vaccine group Gavi, the World Health Organisation and top healthcare firms.
